Kyle is a sophomore at USC pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in Environmental Studies. He has work experience as a marketing intern for Green Tree Inns Hotel Management Group in Shanghai, China, and he currently works as Student Coordinator to the Webmaster in the Events office at USC. In his time here, Kyle has participated in such organizations as Marshall’s Global Leadership Program, the USC Thornton Concert Orchestra, Give Running, the Business Leader’s Association, Teach for Los Angeles, USC Friends and Neighbors Days and Ping Pong Posse. He is an active member of Los Angeles Community Impact and the Global Business Brigades.
Shannon Byrne is a Junior from Newbury Park, California, majoring in Business Administration at the Marshall School of Business. She has been interning as a Human Resources Consultant for Talent Development for the past three years at Farmers Insurance in partnership with McKinsey & Co. As a Division I athlete, Shannon competed for the University of Southern California Cross-Country and Track & Field teams for four seasons. Shannon has participated in the Marshall traveling programs attending LINC Syndey in 2012 and ExCEL Paris in 2013. She is also a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Quentin Hsu is part of the University of Southern California’s Class of 2015 and is pursuing a double major in Accounting and Business Administration and a double minor in Computer Science and Computer Security. He has great interest in pursuing a career that combines the structured concepts of accounting principles with the logical, problem solving thought process of computer science. On the accounting side, Quentin has worked with a professor and a graduate student on multiple projects, including Dynamics GP procedures documentation for a Canadian company, funding research for the Drew League foundation, and psychological research on trust damage. On the tech side, Quentin has managed a team of 12 students in the development of a factory simulation software. He is currently working with a researcher at the Information Sciences Institute to create a network traffic generating framework for security testing. He enjoys solving brain teasers and would be glad to discuss any interesting ones you find.
Kevin is a sophomore from Shanghai, China, majoring in Business Administration at the Marshall School of Business. He is the Vice President of External Relations at Los Angeles Community Impact (LACI) and is the Director of Organizational Programs at Marshall Business Student Government. As an international student, he has always had an interest in traveling and meeting other students with diverse backgrounds. He has hosted international students as part of Marshall’s annual International Case Competition, the semester-long International Exchange Program, and participated in LINC Mumbai in his freshman year. This spring break, Kevin is excited to visit Singapore and Kuala Lumpur as part of Marshall’s ExCel program.
Brian is a sophomore majoring in Business Administration, with an emphasis in finance, and is hoping to add a second major in accounting. In addition to his involvement in USC Consulting Club, Brian is the current finance director of the Asian American Business Association, treasurer of his fraternity Kappa Alpha Order as well as an active member in Phi Beta Lambda and the accounting fraternity Beta Alpha Psi. Brian is also a participant in the Career Advantage Program and has participated in KPMG and Ernst & Young case competitions. Brian currently holds an internship with UBS in their downtown LA office.
Ashwin Malynur is currently a sophomore at the University of Southern California pursuing a major in Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science. He is currently on the Executive Board of Los Angeles Community Impact (LACI), a student run group that provides consulting services to non-profits and small businesses. He is also a member of Delta Tau Delta a social fraternity at USC. During his free time Ashwin enjoys hiking and exploring the city of Los Angeles.
Daniel R. Musa
Economics and International Relations
Daniel, a dual citizen of both Nigeria and the United States, is a sophomore at the University of Southern California currently pursing a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in International Relations with concentrations in International Political Economics and Security Studies. He has extensive experience with research, including published work with the FBI and has been awarded the Student Opportunities for Academic Research (SOAR) grant. In addition to membership in the USC Consulting Club, Daniel also volunteers with the community service Teaching International Relations Program (TIRP) and serves as the Programming Representative for Cardinal Gardens Apartments in the University Residential Student Community. He is a member of the Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society and the Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization. Daniel has been hired to be a Residential Assistant by the Office of Residential Education for the 2013-2014 academic year and will serve a summer internship with the Plexus Consulting Group in Washington D.C. in 2013. In his free time, he enjoys singing, playing the drum set, and writing poetry.
Katherine is currently a sophomore majoring in Public Relations at the USC Annenberg School of Journalism. She plans to pursue a career in Brand Strategy Consulting, and currently serves as an USC Diet Coke Ambassador, LTE Media Marketing Intern, and Communications intern for the USC Research Offices PERE (Program for Environmental and Regional Equity) and CSII (Center for the Study of Immigrant Integration). During her time at USC, Katherine has been actively involved in her Greek sorority Sigma Delta Tau and is a member of the USC Enactus competition team. Katherine enjoys traveling internationally, and hopes to one day speak at least five different languages.
Economics and International Relations
Vijeta is a senior Presidential scholar at the University of Southern California, pursuing a B.A. and M.A. in Economics, and a minor in Accounting. Due to her involvement in International Relations research, she has been awarded multiple grants through the USC Provost Undergraduate Research Fellowship and Student Opportunities for Academic Research Grant. On campus, Vijeta serves as a USC Dornsife Ambassador and works as a Program Assistant for the USC Joint Educational Project. She has also been a summer intern at Marsh Risk & Insurance Services, and Cornerstone Research.
Hillary Tzeng is a third-year Associates Scholar at USC who is pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration and has completed a minor in Cinematic Arts. She is currently working as a Brand Investing Intern at venture capital firm Anthos Capital and has previously interned as a Corporate Finance Intern at animation studio Big Bad Tomato and as a Sales & Marketing Intern at Aflac. At USC, Hillary serves as the Fundraiser of the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi, as well as the Vice President of Finance for the USC Microfinance Club. In the past, she has been the Culture Show Funding Executive for USC’s Chinese American Student Association, a consultant at AIM Consulting, and a participant in the Global Leadership Program in Shanghai. Hillary is an unabashed foodie and loves boogie boarding, cave kayaking, and filmmaking.
Connie Wang is sophomore from Princeton, New Jersey, pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science. She is currently interning at Frazier Capital Valuation in Los Angeles, and has had summer internship experiences working in real estate and asset management in Beijing and Shanghai, China. On campus, she serves as the Co-President for the Association of Integrated Marketing Consulting, financial literacy mentor and curriculum developer for Marshall Women’s Leadership Board, and member of USC Program Board’s Concerts Committee.
Business Administration, Minor in Mathematical Finance
Tao Wu is a junior pursuing a degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Mathematical Finance. He has previously interned in U.S. Bank as well as the Rotary Club of Los Angeles and will be joining General Mills in Minneapolis this upcoming summer. He plans to pursue a career in finance or management consulting after graduation.
Tess Wu is a second-year Presidential Scholar pursuing a degree in Business Administration. She is currently interning at Merrill Lynch in Beverly Hills, CA and has previously interned in a variety of industries including men’s apparel, insurance, and catering. Tess rounds out her professional experience through running a freelance web design and production company with her colleagues in the Bay Area. She is an active member of the APA community on campus through her involvement with Traditional Chinese Dance and her role as main lead in the Chinese American Student Association Culture Show 2012. Additionally, Tess describes herself as a board game enthusiast and a film/theatre junkie.
Tricia is a senior at the University of Southern California pursuing a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering. She is the President of the Society of Women Engineers. Last summer, Tricia interned at the Boston Consulting Group in the Los Angeles office. Previously, she worked with ExxonMobil in their Fuels & Lubricants branch as a Production Intern and interned with AMVAC Chemical as a Research Assistant. After graduation, she will be working for the BCG Los Angeles office.
Shiqi Zhang ( Ethel) is a sophomore majoring in Business
Administration, with the intent of pursuing progressive master degree in accounting in four years. She is born and brought up in China and currently enjoying her second semester in the United States. Aside from USC Consulting Club, she is involved in Joint Education Program, Accounting Society, and Undergraduate Student Government Diversity Affairs Committee.
Computer Science & Business Administration (CSBA)
Jennie Zhou is a current sophomore transfer student from NYU. At NYU, she was the Creative Manager for the official magazine of the Stern School of Business, a publication that updated the university’s students on the events in the commercial world. She is a member of the professional fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, of which she served on the professional committee as a firm recruit. She has worked as an internal audit intern at Knight Capital Group, as well as a finance intern at the asset management firm, Legg Mason & Co.
